A new Hope for Our Nation... and in turn the World.

Reposted from More Than Enough December 2017 Newsletter

Long ago the Christ child made His appearance to the world. As He came He brought light to the darkness. This light filled many hearts with hope. That hope was the fulfillment of the promises found in Isaiah. The promises that ushered in a new era of religious and governmental change.

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” (Isaiah 9: 6 – {NKJV})

This change did many things for the people of God. It caused the foundations of men’s hearts to be revealed. This change shook things up for the political system that was in charge in that day. This change made the religious order face itself for the very first time. This change brought hope to the pure in heart. The world, this nation, and the religious order of our time are facing the very same realities that occurred when Jesus first stepped into our realm. There is nothing new under the sun according to King Solomon in Ecclesiastes 1: 9.

This is a puzzle and a riddle all at the same time. This truth is real and has never changed. We as light are in a battle against the darkness and as long as we hold onto God. We will stay on task, complete our mission and finish our assignments. Let this hope remain in you. The hope that is found in Christ. This hope that I believe that every person of God feels in the atmosphere in this season.

“Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek” according to Hebrews 6: 17 - 20 (NIV).

In our nation, we have had many changes take place in the political realm for the good since the election of President Donald Trump. Prior to him taking office there was an overwhelming since of doom and dread that was tangible. The previous leaders enacted policies and laws that not only hog tied the businesses in this county but also crippled the middle class and in turn brought Hell into our society. These policies and laws created hopelessness in many. Hopelessness as to stability and security of our nation. Hopelessness as to the freedom for Christians to practice their religion without fear of attack from the government.

Hopelessness in the economy and the ability for wealth to be created and sustained by the average citizen. This hopelessness was real. Now this hopelessness is being destroyed in this season. Without hope, you cannot have faith. If you don’t have faith you cannot please God. Our nation was built on Christian values and our nation must feed hope to its citizens. This hope gives our citizens the back bone that they needed to fulfill our part on the world scene.

Despite what you see in our press the world is looking for this Nation to lead. The process of change for the good for this nation has begun. It’s been an uphill fight but a fight that we are destined to win. We have continued to change and now we have finally acknowledged Jerusalem as the true capital of Israel. The policies and regulations that have been crippling this Nation are being overturned one by one.

A respect for the God who formed this Nation has been reintroduced and many hearts are filled with hope for a better tomorrow. As you spend time with your family in this Christmas and Hanukkah season look around and partake of the Hope and Joy. Receive this gift from God who gave us a new hope in our future.
