I know with a certainty in my spirit that God is bringing back the anointing and Spirit of Elijah. Given the current spiritual and political climate this anointing is needed to deal with the corruption that has eroded the moral fabric of this Nation and the Church.
There is a growing intensity in the darkness that is hovering over not only this land but the entire world. Never has the spiritual climate been so ripe for revival. You can feel the intensity in the atmosphere.
Yet, there is a foreboding but at the same time an excitement for what God is about to do for those who are in love with Him. When you look at Elijah, he was a strong person and he carried a no-nonsense anointing. God’s people have to step into the fullness of the Elijah anointing. It is what is needed to defeat the dark principalities and powers that are at work in this season. The Elijah anointing was promised in the Word. It was prophesied that this anointing would be alive and prevalent in this time period.
The Coming Messenger
“Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way
before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to
His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you
delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts.
“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can
stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like
launderers’ soap. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver;
He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and
silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness.
[Malachi 3:1-3 (NKJV)]
I remember a long time ago being chastised by my father in the Spirit. She would get on me good about being foolish and doing foolish things. I knew that God was training me for something significant so I took what she taught me and worked hard at trying to apply it to my walk with the Lord. I had some very tough times but the lessons were learned and applied. Through those hard years I walked through some intense fires and I attribute that to God training me and getting the foolishness out of me.
I now see what God was doing in me through my spiritual father was instilling a strong sense of discipline and responsibility in me. Had it not been for the strict dealings of the Lord in my life, I too would be in the same condition as the rest of the Body of Christ.
There is a weakness that has been inbred into the Body of Christ due to an absentee fathering mentality. The very nature of a father creates true discipline. We must seek to partner with the Lord and allow for Him to bring this sense of discipline and responsibility back to the Body of Christ. It must come back into the leaders of the house of God. For too
long the men and women of God have let things go in the name of the peace. Those who know the ways of the Spirit of God know that there can be no compromise with evil. This compromise has become the Achilles heel to the Body of Christ. There is no spiritual
backbone because we have been sleeping with the enemy.
“Then Joram said, “Make ready.” And his chariot was made
ready. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah
went out, each in his chariot; and they went out to meet Jehu,
and met him on the property of Naboth the Jezreelite. Now it
happened, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, “Is it peace,
Jehu?” So he answered, “What peace, as long as the harlotries
of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft are so many?”
[2 Kings 9:21-22 (NKJV)]
“Is it peace, Jehu?” Think about the depth of that statement. King Joram was a good man but the kingdom was divided and in turmoil because of the harlotries and witchcraft of ahab and jezebel. Their harlotry and witchcraft was so bad that it corrupted the priests.
There was no accountability, no integrity, and no honor. Elijah battled this hardness and fierceness in his day. The Body of Christ is quick to accept the good of this anointing but they really need to look at everything that comes with it.
We are living in the days of Elijah and that means that we are gonna have strong fights and tough battles to endure. We cannot be wimps or cowards in this hour. We must be men and women of strength and integrity. There is nothing that God will not do for us but we need to re-evaluate what it is that we really say that we want. Do you want revival? Then you need to be willing to accept everything that comes with that. All the warfare, all the fights, all the negative things that come along with this anointing.
This seems like its contrary to love but it is not. It fits right in with the nature and character of God. We must become a people who honor God in all that we do. We must become a people strong in character and discipline. It is going to take people of this caliber to walk in the anointing of Elijah and that is what God has brought in this season.
There is an enemy who will not stop because he already knows that he has been exiled from God and he is trying really hard to get us to be in the same condition as he is. He is a loser. Are you?
