There Are Never Any Pretty Fights. Our Fight Against Gross Darkness

Darkness is doing its job. It is being dark. The Church has to embrace the reality of the season that we are in right now. We must fight that darkness in the Spirit.

I get it, sometimes I want to go in a corner and just sit. I don’t want to have battle but this is what God has placed us on this earth to do. We can’t sit. We must fight the enemy because he is forever looking for someone new to oppress, rape & then destroy. We need to develop a resolve like David.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,

and Your glory above all the

earth; That Your beloved may be delivered,

Save with Your right hand,

and hear me.

Psalm 108:5-6 (NKJV)

David had the mindset that you can’t have my stuff because God gave it to me. You can’t have my ministry, my wife, my kids, my family, or my destiny in Christ because God gave it to me. I am gonna fight for it. I am gonna prevail over you because God has ordained it to be. David wasn’t whining in this Psalm. He was declaring that God will do what He promised.

Let this encourage you. Our God is awesome. Our God is a fighter, quit isn’t in His vocabulary. Whine isn’t in His arsenal of weapons that He brings against the enemy of our soul. God is gonna bring an overwhelming force against your enemy. He is just waiting for you to get into agreement with Him.

Who will bring me into the strong

city? Who will lead me to Edom? Is it

not You, O God, who cast us off? And

You, O God, who did not go out with

our armies? Give us help from trouble,

for the help of man is useless.

Through God we will do valiantly,

for it is He who shall tread down our

enemies.

Psalm 108:10-13 (NKJV)

It is God who will tread down your enemies. It is God who will bring the overwhelming force that the enemy can’t overcome. David knew this through experience. He gained those

experiences in battle. David developed a relationship with God through his fights. This relationship allowed for David to grow in faith.

But David said to Saul, “Your servant

used to keep his father’s sheep, and

when a lion or a bear came and took

a lamb out of the flock, I went out

after it and struck it, and delivered

the lamb from its mouth; and when

it arose against me, I caught it by its

beard, and struck and killed it.

Your servant has killed both lion and

bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine

will be like one of them, seeing

he has defied the armies of the living

God.” Moreover David said, “The

Lord, who delivered me from the

paw of the lion and from the paw of

the bear, He will deliver me from the

hand of this Philistine.”

1 Samuel 17:34-37a (NKJV)

We have to learn how to be in a fight and deal with the issue that God is giving us the authority to deal with. We need to look at a fight as a purposeful confrontation with the enemy of our soul. There are some fights you will be able to walk away from and some you

are gonna have to stand your ground and throw down with the enemy. You have to ask the Holy Spirit to give the discernment to know which is which.

This present darkness that has come against the Body of Christ has to be resisted. It has to be confronted in the Spirit. If not the Body of Christ will be overcome by it. We have to call a spade a spade. If it’s dark and not of God, then it’s dark and not of God. Our failure to do this causes mixture to be formed within us and it taints the anointing that God has given us. It waters it down. It stops the authority of the Spirit from being able to manifest.

There is an anointing for confrontation that God is trying to give the Body of Christ but the Body of Christ keeps telling God no. It can’t be done this way. It has to be done another way. Sometimes a bully just needs to be stood up to and the bully will never be a bully anymore.

Then it happened, when Ahab saw

Elijah, that Ahab said to him, “Is that

you, O troubler of Israel?” And he

answered, “I have not troubled Israel,

but you and your father’s house

have, in that you have forsaken the

commandments of the Lord and have

followed the Baals. Now therefore,

send and gather all Israel to me on

Mount Carmel, the four hundred and

fifty prophets of Baal, and the four

hundred prophets of Asherah, who

eat at Jezebel’s table.”

1 Kings 18:17-19 (NKJV)

Let me set some background. Prior to this moment God did not permit Elijah to confront ahab. God allowed for ahab and jezebel to kill the prophets of God. They were after Elijah but God told Elijah to run. Every time ahab thought he caught up with Elijah God would take him in the Spirit and Elijah would escape. So let me be real clear.

You cannot confront until God puts that anointing upon you. At this moment God had released that anointing upon Elijah to confront ahab for what he had done. Elijah used that anointing to confront the darkness in ahab and jezebel. As we know from Bible history God had a major demonstration of his power and he showed ahab who God really was by setting the altar on fire. This is real.

This is what God is about to do now. In an even more dramatic way. The Darkness that is over this land is being brought to the forefront. This present darkness that we are fighting against cannot be ignored.

If you have ever been in a fight, you know it drains the life out of you. It’s not pretty. It’s very ugly. The challenge that will be overcome is through those who love God that they are willing to lay there lives down in this area. You are gonna have to be willing to be misunderstood,

second-guessed, and even accused of being hateful. No matter what you cannot be afraid to let this anointing come out.

Are you willing to be a vessel used by God to do whatever He needs you to do. There was no fear in Elijah’s heart because there was an inner knowing that ahab and jezebel were

wrong. Elijah knew that they had transgressed the ways of God. You are gonna need to walk in that same anointing.

God is calling forth His love warriors. They are gonna have the anointing to say to the enemy. No! They are gonna love God enough to stand against the darkness, speak against it and watch it crumble under the power of Almighty God.

This is our kairos moment in time. There is a cause and that cause is Christ, that cause is the new era of holiness and righteousness from God. Selah.
