Your Right to Bear Arms?

God has not called us to be foolish in any way but our modern day understanding of Christianity has caused us to abandon our right to bear arms.

Somehow a belief has grown into the Church that we shouldn’t seek to protect ourselves and our families with weapons. I want to provoke some thought in this hour. Not in an effort to persuade you against your personal beliefs.

Perish the thought of me doing this. I just want you to understand why you believe what you believe. God has spoken through His written Word and His prophetic Word that the darkness would get darker in the “End of Days’.

There seems to be some question as to what the “Christian” response is to carrying a weapon, using a weapon, and even enjoying the sports associated with weapons. Hunting and Fishing being the foremost in my mind. Many Christians are quick to point out that Jesus said to turn the other cheek and then I ask them did you also know that he told the disciples to take their swords with them on a journey that they were about to embark upon?

“And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

But he (Peter) said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.” Then He (Jesus) said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before

you will deny three times that you know Me.”

And He (Jesus) said to them, “When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?” So they said, “Nothing.” Then He (Jesus) said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. For I (Jesus) say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For the things concerning Me have an end.”

So they said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.” And He said to them, “It is enough.”

{Luke 22:31-38 (NKJV)}

Not what most people probably would expect Jesus to say. It was clear that the danger was real that was predicted but it was also clear that Jesus knew what that danger was and the disciples would at times need to defend themselves against not only spiritual enemies but natural human enemies. You as a Christian have to know what the Father is telling you to

do. You as a Christian have to know the times and the seasons that you are in so that you can act appropriately and with wisdom.

In our country there has been a constant attack against citizens who lawfully, legally own guns. There is an agenda that has been playing out to strip us of the ability to not only protect ourselves from those who mean us harm but also from those who have ulterior motives within our government.

There are leaders who are administering power in the halls of the United States Congress today who do not believe in what the Constitution says. They are happy that the average citizen of our country does not know what the Second Amendment says. Why? Because they can continue to control the citizens through trickery and deception.

Our Founding Fathers knew all too well that tyranny and corruption where real enemies against democracy and freedom. We have been suffering for a very long time under the hands of those leaders on the inside of our government who have purposely lied and hid the truths that our Founding Fathers knew and understood.

When you disarm your citizens; when you take away their right to protect themselves, their families and their property, when you make them dependent upon the State for protection, you are condemning those people to eventually suffer at the hand of the government.

True freedom involves responsibility. True freedom involves the love of life. There are many distortions of the truth in the media involving guns and gun owners. Seek the Lord for yourself and then do what He is asking you to do. For some God may tell you to not have a gun, for others He may say get all the guns you can.

Whatever He tells you to do, you must understand that there are forces that in this that Jesus knew about when He walked upon this earth. He loved the disciples enough them to tell them to carry a sword. The possibility just might exist that He loves us enough now to say

the very same thing.
